Here are some of the frequently asked questions concerning our business:
Our prices are extremely competitive. They depend on the location and amount of time that you would need the carriage. In order to receive a price quote and to check for availability, please have the date, time, amount of time that you would need the carriage and the beginning and ending location?
We generally like to keep the length of travel up to 2.5 miles on the carriage. This is because we do move slowly. We stay away from the very heavily trafficked area. In the event that we have to get on a major thoroughfare, we request that a follow car for the back of the carriage. If the distance is too far but the key is to arrive in the carriage or depart in the carriage, we can either meet the client at a nearby area close the destination or depart in the carriage in what we call a "false getaway", take the client for a nice ride after doing pictures and then take them to a waiting car.
We can generally do anything that you would like to do, within reason. We do a lot of pick ups after wedding receptions for a quick ride to the hotel or waiting car. Another wedding favorite is when we stay and give rides to the wedding guests during the reception (this is a big hit with the children and the ladies at the event). We also do a lot of Cinderella birthday parties. At these, we normally do little 5 to 7 minute rides while playing Disney music and practicing our princess waves with the girls (big and small). We are do a lot of quinceaneras. We can pick up the birthday girl from the church or take her to the reception site and stay and do rides for the guests as well. We do proposals on a regular basis. We often arrange surprise proposals with lots of ideas for the nervous soon to be fiancee. We have done photo shoots for various publications, tv shows and commercials. We have also rented just the carriage for musicals and back drops for various events including the Majestic Theatre and other stage productions. If we can't do the event that you are interested, I usually have a contact number appropriate for the request.
We are completely mobil. We can travel to locations away from Dallas but in lieu of gas and time, we do charge more the farther away that we have to go. Several of our clients are surprised at how much more affordable we are than our competitors. Please call us for a price quote.
Yes, of course. We are licensed and insured through all of the stipulations of the city of Dallas and several of the outlying areas including Highland Park. We have been in business since July of 1994, original licensing through the city of Dallas.
We hardly ever have to cancel in the event of inclement weather. We make the call for weather, keeping a close eye on the weather as well as radar on our mobile devices. Most of our carriages have a bonnet that goes over the back of the carriage, covering the passenger area.
We pride ourselves on a sterling presentation. We generally wear top hat and tails unless the client wishes another look like a cowboy hat, etc. Our carriages are clean, well-decorated and lit up with white xmas lights at night. Be very careful about the cheaper quotes for your special event, you may end up with an unlicensed, possibly uninsured company whose presentation is not appropriate for your formal occasion.
No but we do work with several princess party companies for the cinderella birthday parties. Please call for a reference!
Almost always the answer is yes. We are licensed in most of the larger cities of north Texas. Most of the smaller communities do not have licensing for carriages and are happy to accept the licensing that we have through the city of Dallas and the town of Highland Park. We are licensed and insured through all the stipulations of the City of Dallas and the town of Highland Park.
